You can get started right after your registration! The digital course is on your profile page and on the online student platform within 1 minute. The paper version of the course will be posted immediately. So it is quickly delivered to your home in the letterbox. Thanks to the flexibility of a home study you study where and when you want. You also receive a year-long guidance from a trained entrepreneur. This dedicated teacher gives you feedback, practical exercises and tips from his own business experience via the online student platform. So you are never alone!
You will receive specially developed, loose-leaf teaching material in a handy storage folder. You do not have to purchase additional books and therefore have everything you need to make your home study a success. Your textbook contains practical questions at the end of each chapter, comparable to the exam questions. This way, you will be thoroughly prepared when you are ready to obtain your diploma!
Do you want to gain practical work experience before your exam? Then follow an internship. For example, drop in at a business center or a self-employed person in your area. During an internship you gather relevant practical experience and get to know new people within the sector. This is useful for later, because an internship is the ideal springboard for a challenging career.
You can choose the period, place and duration of the internship yourself. Have you found an educational internship? Then request an internship agreement from your training consultant. Complete this document together with your internship provider and return it to us. You can then start immediately, with a maximum of 300 internship hours. Make sure you have completed everything before obtaining your diploma. You are of course not required to do an internship.
Have you mastered the subject matter? Then you take the exam at one of our exam locations. You choose your own exam time. Do you score at least 60%? Congratulations, you have passed! You will receive the diploma Start your Own Business by post. You then register yourself at a business counter and immediately start working as a self-employed person in Flanders. Please note: anyone wishing to establish themselves as an independent entrepreneur in Brussels must also take an exam at Brussels Economy and Employment .
