Practical experience and internship

Do you want to put your knowledge from the Legal Assistant course into practice? Then follow an internship at a lawyer or collection agency. You gain concrete work experience, use the subject matter in practice, and further develop your network. Handy for later, because this way you increase your chances of getting started as Legal Officer.

You can choose the period, place and duration of the internship yourself. Once you have found your ideal internship position, request an internship agreement from your training consultant. You complete this together with your internship provider. You can then get started right away, with a maximum of 300 internship hours. Make sure you have completed everything in order to obtain your diploma.

An internship is a useful stepping stone to a great career. You are of course not required to do an internship.

Exam and diploma

After completing the course, you take the exam at one of our exam locations. You choose your own exam time. Do you score at least 60%? Bravo, you passed! You will receive the diploma Legal Assistant by post. With this diploma you are immediately employable on the labor market as Legal Officer. If you want to start as a self-employed person in primary or secondary occupation, it is also useful to also do the home study Start your own business to follow. That course will prepare you perfectly for your new adventure.

How do I register for a course?

You can do this on one of our secretariats or simply online by filling in the registration form and make a payment .

When will my registration be final?

Your registration is final when you have registered and we have received a payment. You will receive a confirmation email from us with all practical information such as the log-in for the student platform.

What if I have a question about the subject matter while studying my home course?

You will receive guidance from an experienced teacher for a year, this is included in the course fee. Via a student platform you can ask your teacher questions, make exercises and submit tasks. This guidance can be extended if you wish.

What do I get sent home?

What will change in September 2018 if I want to become self-employed?

From September 2018 you no longer have to take an exam at the Central Examination Board in Brussels to obtain an official Business Management certificate. So this is a big advantage; you can simply obtain the diploma at our school. Knowledge of business management gives you a big lead over your competitors in the development of your business or independent activity. To customers, this is a true proof of quality.

Where and when do I take the exam?

After studying your course, you take the Legal Assistant exam at one of our exam locations. If you have achieved at least 60%, then you have passed and you will receive the diploma Legal Assistant by post. With this you can immediately apply for your dream job as Legal Officer. If you want to start your own business as a self-employed person, you also need the Business Management certificate. For this you follow our training and take the exam at the Central Examination Board (from September 2018 you can also just do this at our school).
