You can get started right after your registration! The digital course will be on your profile page within the minute. The paper version will be posted immediately and you will receive it quickly at home. Thanks to the flexibility of a home study you study where and when you want. You receive a year-long guidance from a top craftsman who gives you practical exercises, extensive feedback and tips from the professional field via our online learning platform. If you are ready, take your exam at one of our exam locations and if you pass, you will receive the diploma!
You receive specially developed, loose-leaf teaching material in a handy storage folder. You have everything you need to make your home study a success. Your textbook contains practical questions at the end of each chapter, comparable to the exam questions. This way, you are prepared when the time to obtain your diploma comes!
Do you want to gain practical work experience before the exam? Then follow an internship. Visit a contractor or a construction company in your area, show your skills and ask for internship opportunities. It's that simple! During an internship you gather relevant practical experience and get to know new people within the construction sector. This is useful for later, because an internship is the perfect stepping stone to a great career as Contractor.
You can choose the period, place and duration of the internship yourself. Have you found an educational internship? Then request an internship agreement from your training consultant. Complete this document together with your internship provider and return it to us. You can then start immediately, with a maximum of 300 internship hours. Make sure you have completed everything before obtaining your diploma. You are of course not required to do an internship.
After completing the course, you take a theoretical exam at one of our exam locations. You choose your own exam time. Do you score at least 60%? Bravo, you passed! You will receive the diploma Contractor by post. This will immediately get you started as an employee or self-employed person. That course will prepare you perfectly for your new adventure.
From January 2019, you no longer have to take an exam at the Central Examination Board. This is because Contractor is no longer a protected profession in Flanders. Would you like to work as an independent Contractor in Brussels or Wallonia? Then contact the business counter for more information about the specific conditions in your region.

For your course you pay Contractor but 449.00 euros. For this you will receive a course book with practical illustrations, one year of professional guidance from an experienced teacher and proven project leader and access to the online student platform for extra teaching material and articles about the construction sector! You also have 5 years to take the exam at one of our exam locations. All the foundations for a thorough education to become a professional Contractor!
